The new Health Fitness and Athletic Center at Los Angeles Mission College is part of the Build-LACCD East Campus Complex Extension project. The two-story 90,000 square foot facility will support the campus’ health and physical education programs, providing a multi-functional gymnasium, indoor track, and fitness center, in addition to classrooms and administrative offices.Project is posted to receive Silver LEED certification upon completion. The innovative design features a three-court gymnasium, elevated indoor jogging track, and numerous classrooms. The facility will provide students and faculty with access to extensive fitness equipment, cardio/stretching areas, lockers, showering facilities, and multiple restrooms. New administrative offices will support the school’s health and physical education programs. Four acres of surrounding surface parking and sustainable landscaping will add function and beauty to the overall site plan.
