The Anaheim Community Center is a full-scale design-build project with a building area of approximately 40,000 square feet. Included in the construction was an elementary school complete with multi-purpose classrooms, auditorium, art performance center, science laboratory, assembly area, and day care center. The library is equipped with 100 computer terminals and additional reading workstations. The design requests and artistic requirements of the owner facilitated the need for over 10,000 mosaic tiles to be imported from Morocco for the decorative finish of the structural minaret weighing over 49,000 pounds. Italian marble was also imported to fulfill the aesthetic intentions of the owner. |
