This $34 million project consists of three, two-story classrooms and two, one-story buildings including an amphitheater/multi-purpose hall and parking structure, totaling 110,000 square feet. Energy efficient materials and methods were used throughout the building, including special lighting fixtures which feature sensors that adjust the operable use of electricity according to the availability of natural light. All buildings and roofing were highly insulated. Energy-saving glazing and glass materials were used as a preventative measure to minimize the use of heating and cooling systems in classrooms. The play deck is located on top of the parking structure, increasing the activity area by almost one-third.
