The UCR Psychology Building is primarily composed of technical laboratories, as well as numerous classrooms, and support spaces that were requested to match the existing brick exterior of the remaining complex. The three-story building has an approximate area of 80,000 square feet providing ample support for animal laboratories and greenhouse facilities to assist the University’s environmental studies and global warming research programs. The entire building is thermal insulated in compliance with specified sustainability standards, and energy-saving lighting and equipment fixtures were also installed. Water efficiency and conservation measures were incorporated in the selection of all toilet and water fixtures used throughout the building. |
