FTR’s newest project scheduled to break ground on August 29, 2008
IRVINE, Calif., July 28, 2008 FTR International Inc. was the lowest responsible bidder on one of the new and exciting projects for the Pierce College Campus of the Los Angeles Community College District.
The Physical Education Renovation project is scheduled to ground break on August 29, 2008.
The project consists of the new construction and modernization of the north and south gymnasium which include a new wellness swimming pool, a stadium field house and a number of athletic fields. FTR is anxious to enhance the extracurricular and sports activities of the students of Pierce College with the construction of baseball, softball and football fields. In addition, new tennis courts and a 75’x45’ five-lane wellness pool will be available to all students with renovated concession buildings, lockers facilities and restrooms. The construction of this new project is within the parameters of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
FTR is currently working on two campuses of the Los Angeles Community College District including the Los Angeles Valley College (LAVC) and the Los Angeles Mission College (LAMC). While FTR is working on the substantial completion of the Allied Health and Science Center for LAVC this July, FTR is now preparing for a new construction team to be headed by our Senior Project Manager, Mr. Khal Jalad, to work on the Physical Education Renovation Project with a schedule completion on the fall of 2009.
