The Eli and Edythe Broad Stage Press Conference
SANTA MONICA, Calif., April 7, 2008 Actor Dustin Hoffman, Eli Broad, and Santa Monica College representatives all present in one live press conference
On March 6, 2008, FTR International Inc. was present during a live press conference held on behalf of Santa Monica College and it’s new state-of-the-art, performing arts center. As general contractors for the project, which is nearing completion, FTR project manager Sam Khedraki as well as other FTR representatives, along with a large audience of dignitaries, listened as a generous $10M donation by the Eli and Edythe Broad Foundation, for the project was announced. The theater, located in the heart of Santa Monica, will be named in their honor and is scheduled to open on September 20, 2008 as The Eli and Edythe Broad Stage which includes “The Broad Stage and The Edythe Second Space”.
Oscar-winning Actor, Mr. Dustin Hoffman, graced the large audience with an inspiring speech outlining the history of the theater and its positive future outlook for the entire community.
